Flamenco singer José Mercé has recently signed on a cask, part of the group of the sherry barrels that commemorates the Tío Pepe Festival, which celebrates its third edition these days. The Jerez-born singer visited the winery before he performed at the event, which has consolidated itself as a reference in the Spanish summer festival scene.
Led by Mauricio González Gordon, president of González Byass and member of the family’s fifth generation, Mercé toured the most representative and historic nooks and crannies of this winery, located at the very heart of his home town. The visit ended with his signing in the Guest Book of the Tío Pepe Festival and a toast with Tío Pepe.
